Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended greetings to countrymen on the occasion of Diwali. In a social media post, Mr. Modi wished that this festival of lights illuminate the lives of every citizen with harmony, happiness, and prosperity. The Prime Minister prayed that the spirit of positivity prevail all around the nation.
President Murmu said that Diwali is one of India’s most popular festivals, and is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. She added that the festival symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.
Mr Radhakrishnan said that Diwali celebrates the
triumph of goodness over evil and knowledge over ignorance. He prayed to Goddess Lakshmi to shower her blessings of peace, prosperity, and good health on everyone.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Diwali. He also shared his best wishes for the upcoming festivals like Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj.
In his message, Mr Birla said, the festival of Diwali is the soul of India’s culture and traditions. He said that it is not just an occasion to light lamps and celebrate, but also a message of the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.
