In a tweet, Mr. Modi said that he was a stalwart of the cinema world, distinguishing himself as a creative and multifaceted director. Mr. Modi said his films covered



various genres and enthralled audiences for decades.

Legendary filmmaker and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee K. Viswanath passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 92. According to his family members, he was suffering from age-related issues for the past some time.
