PM Modi Looks Forward to Working Closely With UK's Andy Burnham

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Andy Burnham on assuming office as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. 

In a post on X, Modi said, "India and the UK are bound by shared democratic values and enjoy wide-ranging cooperation across trade, investment, technology, defence and people-to-people relations. 

With CETA entering into force this month, our



bilateral partnership is poised to grow even stronger." Modi further said that he looks forward to working closely with Andy Burnham to further deepen the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and advance the shared Vision 2035.

Andy Burnham took office on Monday as Britain's new Prime Minister, promising a 10-year plan to restore political stability and revive the economy.
