Reacting quickly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement of a ‘BJP-NDA double engine rule’ coming to Tamil Nadu to turn it into a developed, safe and corruption-free State, Chief Minister M K Stalin said the double engine jalopy would not run in the State.

Averring that Tamil Nadu would never bow to the arrogance of New Delhi, Stalin in a social media post, addressed to Modi, said the State had achieved the present level of growth only

by breaking all the shackles thrown at it by the Union BJP government.

Pointing out that only States like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka and West Bengal, where the ‘double engine jalopy’ of Modi had not entered, had developed and were flourishing with flying colours and not the ‘double engine’ states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, he said the people of Tamil Nadu would not forget the betrayals of the Union BJP government.
