Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed a Vijay Sankalp rally in Barrackpore ahead of the second phase of polling in West Bengal, expressing confidence in a BJP victory after the results on May 4.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister spoke about his long association with the state and its influence on his spiritual journey. He said Bengal has been a source of inspiration, shaped by its cultural legacy and the affection of its
people.
Calling the Barrackpore rally his final public meeting in the ongoing campaign, Modi said the mood of the people indicated a clear mandate. He added that he expects to return to the state after May 4 for the BJP’s oath-taking ceremony.
He also reflected on the emotional connection he shares with people during campaign events, noting that he reads messages, letters, and views portraits presented to him, often reflecting on them after rallies.
