Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jordan on Monday on a two-day visit and will meet King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein later in the day. PM Modi's visit to Jordan marks 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan received PM Modi at Amman airport. The visit is the first leg of the Prime Minister's four-day, three-nation tour, which
will also take him to Ethiopia and Oman.
"Landed in Amman. Thankful to Mr Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the warm welcome at the airport. I am sure this visit will boost bilateral linkages between our nations," PM Modi tweeted.
Later today, PM Modi will meet Jordan's King for a one-on-one discussion, to be followed by delegation-level talks.
