Deputy Inspector-General of Police ( Prisons) Vinay Kumar Singh will inaugurate on June 1 at 4 pm, a petrol -filling station of IOC to be run by 20 life term prisoners of Charlapalli Jail,  who belong to Mahbubnagar district, to mark the Telangana Formation Day.
This is the first such facility to be run by prisoners in the two Telugu states, according to the department officials. The petrol filling station is spread over 800 square yards and more importantly, the prisoners entrusted



with the task of running it are known for their good conduct, said District Jail Superintendent M Sampath Kumar. Each prisoner working in the station will be paid Rs.110 daily.
Hyderabad Range DIG Narsimha., IOC Telangana head U P Singh. and District Collector T K Sridevi will be among those attending the inaugural function. Sampath Kumar stated that there won’t be any adulteration in the filling station, while appealing to the town residents to avail themselves of the facility.
