PDP, BJP meeting Governor of J&K N N Vohra today

In Jammu & Kashmir, the PDP and BJP Party Presidents are meeting Governor N N Vohra today to discuss the government formation. Leaders of both parties will meet him separately in the late afternoon. The process of government formation between PDP and BJP has entered the crucial and decisive phase after the State Governor sought opinion on the issue from both the parties by today. The PDP Legislature Party yesterday authorized Mehbooba Mufti to meet Governor and convey him Party’s point of view on government formation.

style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Meanwhile, the four member State BJP delegation led by Party President Sat Sharma rushed to Delhi yesterday for consultations with party’s national president Amit Shah, on the government formation.

The new govt is yet to be in place after passage of over three weeks of the demise of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Mufti Sayeed passed away on January 7th. The State is under Governor’s Rule since January 8th.
