PB Acharya sworn in as Manipur Governor

PB Acharya was sworn-in as Governor of Manipur yesterday afternoon at Raj Bhawan in Imphal.

The senior most judge of the High Court of Manipur Justice Lanushungkum Jamir administered him oath of office.

State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, other Ministers and MLAs of the State, leaders of



political parties, top officials of civil and police administration of the State attended the swearing-in ceremony.

Nagaland Governor Acharya will serve as Governor of Manipur as an additional charge during the absence, on leave, of Dr Najma Heptulla, Governor of Manipur.
