Pawan Kalyan Inaugurates Peethikapuravanam Urban Forest

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the Peethikapuravanam urban forest on Monday as part of his tour of the Pithapuram constituency after his return from Kerala. 

He planted a sapling and unveiled a plaque to mark the inauguration. Developed over six acres at a cost of about Rs 1.83 crore under the Centre's Nagar Van Yojana, the urban forest has given the town a fresh green look.

The site



was once a dumping yard and a hub of filth. Through Pawan Kalyan's special initiative, it has been transformed into a green space that offers residents a pleasant environment.

With Pithapuram's spiritual significance in mind, the forest has been designed as a blend of nature and spirituality. Its main attractions are the Nakshatra Vanam and the Shiva Panchayatan Vanam, and forest officials explained the importance of both to the Deputy Chief Minister.
