Ahead of the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made a rare appearance at a press meet in Hyderabad on Monday.
Known for staying away from film promotions, Pawan said he came to the event only for producer A M Ratnam, calling him the main reason behind his decision to speak to the media.
“This is my first press meet for a movie. I usually don’t attend such events, not out of pride, but because I don’t know how to promote myself,” Pawan shared. “But I wanted to stand by A M Ratnam
garu. He believed in this film even when there were so many delays and problems. He never complained, and I’m here today to show my support.”
The film faced several roadblocks over the years. It was delayed due to the pandemic, financial issues, and changes in the team. At one point, director Krish had to step away due to personal reasons, and Jyothi Krishna took over the project.
Pawan said, “We went through two COVID waves, creative differences, and budget troubles. But I stayed in the project because I wanted to support the people who trusted me.”
