Passenger arrested for concealing 467.09 grams of gold paste in Ahmedabad

Customs intercepted the passenger upon his arrival. “The passenger was found to have concealed 467.09 grams of gold paste inside his rectum. 

The recovered paste was subsequently converted into a gold bar weighing 422.83 grams and valued at Rs 65,69,087,” an official told PTI. Sarfaraz Mala was arrested under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962, officials said. Further investigation is underway.
