The Dhandayuthapani Temple in Palani, one of Tamil Nadu's major pilgrimage centres, has recorded its highest-ever annual revenue.
The temple administration said its income crossed Rs 100 crore during the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
The temple recorded a total revenue of Rs 103.24 crore. In comparison, the revenue stood at Rs 97.32 crore in the previous year. It was Rs 86.06 crore and Rs 80.62 crore in the two
years before that, respectively.
On average, around 1.20 crore devotees visit the temple every year. The temple provides several welfare services, including free meals (Annadanam), free head tonsuring, distribution of prasadam, and free meal schemes for students studying in educational institutions run by the temple administration.
Officials said the temple has provided free services worth around Rs 140 crore over the past five years.
