In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing targetting Indian forward posts and civilian areas in border district of Poonch of Jammu & Kashmir during wee hours today.

A defence spokesperson said around 6 AM Pakistani troops started firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the Line of Control in Mankote and

Mendhar sectors of Poonch. However, Indian troops retaliated and are giving a befitting reply to Pak firing. The exchange of fire between Indian and Pak troops was going on when reports last came in. No damage or injury has been reported to the Indian side. Pakistani troops have been frequently violating ceasefire for the past four days.
