As the news of the demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar spread, condolences poured in from all quarters. From neighbouring Pakistan to the US and Israel, several countries paid homage to the 'nightingale of India'.

Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry paid tribute to Lata Mageshkar, saying 'the magic of her voice will live forever'.

“Lata Mangeshkar’s death marks the end of an era in music. Lata ruled the world of music for decades and the magic of her voice



will live forever,” Chaudhry wrote in his condolence message in Urdu.

While, the US Embassy in India, on Twitter wrote: "We join India in paying tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who passed today at the age of 92. History will mark her contribution to India’s music in golden words."

Lata Mangeshkar, the Bharat Ratna awardee, passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 after she tested positive for Covid-19.
