In yet another incident of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in Poonch sector of Jammu region last night.
Defene PRO Lt. Col. Manish Mehta told that Pakistani soldiers started indiscriminate firing and shelling around midnight on forward Indian Army posts in Shahpur Kerni area of Poonch

sector.
Troops guarding the border line retaliated the firing effectively and the intermittent exchange of fire was going on when the last reports came in. However there is no report of any causality or injury to anyone from the Indian side so far.
Just four days ago on 2nd of this month also the Pakistani forces had violated the cease-fire in Akhnoor sector of Jammu region along the Line of Control.
