A mother and her son, Pakistani nationals, have been arrested by Bagepalli police of Chikkaballapura on charge of overstaying in the country without renewal of their passports nor acquiring citizenship.

Besides, allegedly through fraudulent ways, the duo availed a ration card and entered into electoral rolls in 2003 before it was detected by officials concerned based on a tip-off.

On their return to Dubai, the

family of Mohammad Ayub Khan stayed in Bengaluru and shifted to Bagepalli.

To gather details from the mother and her son, officials concerned contacted Farha Naaz and her son Mohammad Fardin Khan at their house in Dasayyannagiripalli village of Bagepalli and upon verification of documents, it was established the mother and her son were not Indian citizens and availed ration cards and entered voters list through fraudulent ways.
