Over 25 Lakh Applications Received Under PM-SVANidhi Scheme

More than 25 lakh applications have been received under the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atma-Nirbhar Nidhi scheme. This special micro-credit facility has provided 5.35 lakh loans.

 

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said that more than 6.5 lakh applications have been received in Uttar Pradesh and 1.87 lakh loans have been disbursed so far.

 

This



scheme provides a loan facility to vendors who had left for their native places due to Covid-19 lockdown. Banks are reaching at the door-steps of people to provide loans for helping them to start their ventures. In order to ensure fast implementation of the scheme with transparency, accountability and consistency, a digital platform with a web portal along with a mobile app have been developed.
