As part of Operation Sindhu, the Government has decided to evacuate Indian nationals from Israel. India has launched Operation Sindhu to evacuate its nationals from Iran in view of the deteriorating situation due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
In a statement today, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the travel of Indian nationals who wish to leave Israel will be facilitated through land borders, and thereafter by air to India. The Ministry added that the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv will be making arrangements for the evacuation and urged all Indian citizens to register themselves at www.indembassyisrael.gov.in/indian_national_reg http://www.indembassyisrael.gov.in/indian_national_reg.
A 24×7 Control Room has been established at the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv. Indian citizens are requested to contact the Embassy at +972 54-7520711 and +972 54-3278392, or email at cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in. The Ministry also reiterated its appeal to all Indian citizens in Israel to remain vigilant and to strictly follow the
safety guidelines issued by the Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command. Emphasizing that the government accords the highest priority to the safety and security of Indian nationals abroad, the Ministry said it will continue to monitor the situation closely. It added that the Embassy remains in continuous contact with the Indian community in Israel and is extending all feasible assistance
Meanwhile, the government is making all out effort to ensure the safe return of Indian nationals from Iran. 110 Indian students evacuated from northern Iran arrived in New Delhi. Talking to the media in New Delhi, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh said that the government has received over 350 requests from Indian citizens in Iran for evacuation. He added that one aircraft is also heading to Turkmenistan today to bring back stranded Indians. The Minister highlighted that New Delhi is using safe and open airspace for flights, and the evacuation efforts are being carried out through these secure routes.
