The Ooty municipality food wing officials have imposed a fine of Rs 55,000 on a restaurant here where stocks of decayed food were found.

Following complaints of bad quality food being served in the restaurant at Ettines road area, the food safety wing



conducted raids.

The officials found rotten meat and vegetables and a stock of expired ingredients. 

Apart from the hefty fine, the officials warned the hotel management of severe action if the violation is repeated.
