The Amritsar rural police in a joint operation with the Border Security Force has shot dead a Pakistani smuggler at  Border Post, (BOP) Kakkar in the area of Lopoke Police station and recovered 22 packets of heroin, two AK-47 rifles, one mobile phone and one plastic pipe and few Pakistani currency notes. A case has been registered at



Lopoke police station against the intruder under NDPS Act today.

The Senior superintendent of police, Amritsar Rural, Dhruv Dahiya said that the operation was conducted on information that the Pakistani smugglers are going to smuggle the heroin and arms to the Indian smugglers at BOP, Kakkar.
