Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the thermal plant of NTPC at Talcher in Odisha will soon be re-activated.

While inaugurating two Kendriya Vidyalaya under Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in Talcher, the Minister also said that the defunct fertilizer factory in Talcher is being re-operationalised at a cost of 13 thousand crore rupees by the Modi government.

On the occasion, he called upon political parties and organisations not to disrupt coal production activities



during protests, as the coal produced in Talcher is used for the economic development of not only the local area but also of the entire country.

Later in the day yesterday the Minister joined Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav at Khudha Road near capital Bhubaneswar to inaugurate the new building of the Khurda Road rail station. Earlier, the Rail minister Mr. Vaishnav flagged off Bhubaneswar -New Delhi Duronto Express with LHB coach from the Khurda Road Station.
