NTA Appoints AP-cadre IAS Officer Prasanna Venkatesh as Director

Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS officer Prasanna Venkatesh V, a 2012-batch officer, has been appointed as Director of the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Department of Higher Education. 

His appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years, according to orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Prasanna Venkatesh



has previously served as the Eluru District Collector and Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner.

He will now head the NTA, which conducts various entrance and eligibility examinations across the country. 

With the Centre’s decision, the Andhra Pradesh cadre officer has been entrusted with another key responsibility at the national level.
