The NITI Aayog team will visit Telangana State on April 12 to review the Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha schemes.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagaritha programmes were gaining popularity across the country and many States were emulating them. He said that the NITI Aayog team would review the implementation of these programmes on April 12. While thousands of tanks and lakes have been restored under Mission Kakatiya, drinking water would be provided to all households in the State under Mission Bhagiratha



programme.
Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was taking Telangana on the path of development with a clear and comprehensive development plan. He said that the State Government has overcome energy crisis and it has intensified efforts to deal with drought situation.
Earlier, Harish Rao laid the foundation for construction of boundary wall for Malkapur Nala in Panchawati Colony near Manikonda. Transport Minister Mahender Reddy, Telangana Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Niranjan Reddy, MLAs Yadaiah and Prakash Goud, GHMC Chief Engineer Imtiaz Ahmed and other officials were also present.
