Nilgiris Top Cops Meet College Management Reps on Student Issues

The Nilgiris district police administration, led by SP, S. Brinda, held an interaction with college managements in the Nilgiris on campus safety, anti-drug enforcement and student welfare aspects. 

In a proactive measure to ensure student safety and strengthen law enforcement across educational institutions, the Nilgiris district police administration convened a district-wide coordination meeting with college administrators and management



representatives.

Additionally, colleges were instructed to enforce road safety norms strictly among student commuters — focusing on mandatory helmet rules, valid licensing and speed control — and to conduct immediate security audits, ensuring fully functional camera surveillance across all key perimeter, entrance and exit points. 

College managements were urged to work in close coordination with local police stations to maintain a safe and law-abiding educational environment.
