Newlywed Couples Cast Vote After Wedding In Ramanathapuram

In the Chinnakadai area of Ramanathapuram Assembly constituency, Tamil Nadu, two newlywed couples from the same family fulfilled their democratic duty immediately after their marriage ceremonies on Thursday morning,( April 23, 2026), while still in their wedding clothes and garlands. 

Today is reportedly considered an auspicious day, and several weddings are taking place in the Ramanathapuram



district. Siddhanathan and Shalini, along with Jayaveera Karthi and Sivasankari, arrived at the polling station in Velipattinam Municipal School right after the marriage. 

Dressed in bridal clothes, they quickly cast their votes and proudly showed their inked fingers along with their family members, before proceeding back to the wedding venue to complete the rest of the rituals.
