The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is preparing to launch a new FASTag Annual Pass, aimed at reducing toll payment hassles for frequent highway users.
Although the pass is not yet available for purchase, NHAI has listed it on its official website, complete with details such as pricing, usage limits, and validity.
The
official rollout is scheduled for August 15, on Independence Day. The prepaid plan is specifically designed for non-commercial private vehicles, allowing eligible users to pay a one-time fee and enjoy up to 200 toll-free trips or one year of validity, whichever comes first.
Once the limit is exhausted, the FASTag will automatically revert to the regular pay-per-use system.
