Nearly 10-Foot Python Rescued In Odisha

A nearly 10-foot-long python was rescued while crossing a road near a Hanuman temple at Kulei village in Kanihah block of Angul district on Monday evening, averting a potentially dangerous encounter with motorists and local residents. 

The large reptile was spotted moving across the road near the temple, attracting the attention of residents. Alarmed by the sight, locals alerted the Forest Department.

rescuer Sujan Samal reached the spot after receiving the information and carefully began the rescue operation. He secured the python without causing injury and moved it away from the road. 

The rescued snake was subsequently handed over to Forest Department personnel. Forester Dinabandhu Nayak and other officials reached the spot and took charge of the reptile. The forest team later released the python safely in a nearby forested area, officials said.
