The NDA has called for a Bihar bandh today in protest against the derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother. The bandh has been called under the leadership of the women’s wings of all five NDA constituent parties, including the BJP and Janata Dal (United).
It will be observed from 7:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Workers of the
alliance will take to the streets to enforce the bandh.
BJP’s state president, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, alleged that during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga, objectionable remarks were made from the stage against the Prime Minister and his mother. In protest against this, a bandh has been announced. Emergency services have been exempted from bandh.
