New Delhi: Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar has said MSP procurement has doubled now in comparison to 2014. Talking to media outside Parliament, the Minister said earlier only paddy and wheat crop were procured on MSP. He said that MSP procurement was started on pulses, oilseeds and cotton under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Tomar stressed that NDA government is committed to the wellbeing of farmers. He said the Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 reflects that there is no difference in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words and deeds. He added that since the Opposition had been demanding the repeal of the law, there was no need for discussion.
