Minority Affairs Minister Dr Najma Heptulla and Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises G.M. Siddeshwara have resigned from the Union Council of Ministers.
Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has been given the independent charge of the Ministry. According to President Secretariat press communique, Babul Supriyo, Minister of State has been relieved of the charges of Minister of State in the Ministry of Urban Development and



Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.
He has been shifted to the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises in place of G M Siddeshwara. Sources said, Dr Heptulla was out of the country and was not able to submit her resignation on 5th of this month. Similarly, Mr Siddeshwara was also out of Delhi and was not able to submit his resignation. On return of the Prime Minister from abroad, both of them submitted their resignation, which was accepted.
