Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday expressed grief over the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia that resulted in the deaths of many Umrah pilgrims from neighbouring Telangana.

The bus travelling from Mecca to Medina collided with a tanker and caught fire. 

In a post on X, Naidu said, “I’m deeply saddened to hear about the tragic accident in Saudi Arabia that took the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters from Telangana who were on the holy Umrah pilgrimage.” 

“May their souls rest in peace and may the bereaved families find strength and solace in this difficult time,” he



added. 

YSRCP supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock over the incident.

In a message, he said he wished the injured a speedy recovery. “Deeply shocked to learn about the tragic accident that occurred in Saudi Arabia. 

I wish a speedy recovery for the injured. My prayers are with the families of the victims in this difficult hour.

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Y S Sharmila expressed anguish over the loss of Umrah pilgrims from Telangana in the devastating accident. Sharmila offered her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May the departed souls rest in peace.
