Muslim Couple Wins Ganesh Laddu Auction For Rs. 1.45 Lakh in Andhra

A rare incident reflecting religious harmony took place during the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations in Dharmavaram, Sri Sathya Sai district.

The Ganesh festival celebrations held in Parthasarathi Nagar drew everyone’s attention with the auction of the sacred laddu offering.

In the auction conducted for the Ganesh laddu prasadam, a Muslim couple, Chandini and Mastan Vali, participated and won the laddu for Rs.1,45,000 (one lakh forty-five thousand rupees).

Chandini said that they



had been participating in Vinayaka celebrations for the past 16 years and had even been installing a Ganesh idol along with their friends. 

She shared that she had taken a vow that if she was blessed with a son, she would pay any amount necessary to win the laddu in the auction and distribute it as prasadam to devotees. 

Expressing her happiness, she said that by the grace of Lord Ganesha, she was blessed with a son, and she fulfilled her vow by successfully bidding for the laddu in the auction.
