Andhra Pradesh Police on Friday booked a murder case, among other charges, against one of its officials, inspector Nagaraju, for his alleged role in a man “missing” case in Vijayawada after the victim’s mother claimed that the inspector had tortured and killed her son while in custody.
Recently, the Andhra Pradesh government “suspended” Nagaraju, attached to Vijayawada’s Krishna Lanka station, for his alleged role in the disappearance of
Gade Sai Krishna (23).
Krishna’s mother Gade Vijaya Lakshmi (53) lodged a complaint against Nagaraju on Thursday evening and the police registered the FIR today.
“Yesterday evening (Thursday) my sister (Vijaya Lakshmi) lodged a complaint. Police registered an FIR,” Krishna’s uncle Mullapudi Navrang told Media.
Police booked Nagaraju under BNS Sections 103 (1), 127 (4) and 127 (6) and also BNSS 238.
