The death toll in yesterday’s building collapse at Dongri area in Mumbai has gone up to 12. 

According to officials, the nine injured people taken out of the debris are being treated in nearby hospitals. 

The Mumbai civic body informed that rescue operations were still on at the accident site at Dongri and fear that more people could be trapped under the fallen



structure. 

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has opened a shelter at Imambada Municipal Secondary Girls' School in the nearby vicinity. 

A news agency report said that the Mumbai Building Repair and Reconstruction Board (a unit of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) has said that the portion of the kesarbhai building that collapsed was unauthorised
