Eighteen pilgrims travelling for the Amarnath Yatra suffered minor injuries on Monday after a chain collision involving multiple vehicles at Langar Point in the Chanderkote area of Ramban district.

The incident occurred along the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway, a stretch that routinely handles dense Yatra traffic during the pilgrimage season.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban,

the crash occurred when two J&K Road Transport Corporation buses, both part of a Pahalgam-bound convoy, collided while negotiating the busy highway stretch. The force of the impact caused one of the buses to veer into a nearby car, pushing it into a private bus travelling ahead.

The sequence of collisions left several passengers injured, prompting an immediate response from local authorities and rescue teams.
