In a major step towards digitizing legislative processes, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting & Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, will inaugurate the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) for the Puducherry Legislative Assembly today.

Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, Legislative Assembly Speaker R Selvam, and Members of the Legislative Assembly along with officials will also participate. NeVA is a flagship

initiative of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, aimed at bringing all legislative bodies of the country on a single digital platform, in line with the vision of ‘One Nation – One Application’. It facilitates paperless functioning of legislatures, ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.

Puducherry now joins 18 other Legislative Houses in India that have adopted complete digital functioning under NeVA.
