MoS Defence Ajay Bhatt visits Chushul, interacts with area commanders

Ladakh: Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt visited Chushul in eastern Ladakh yesterday. Fire and Fury Corps General Officer Commanding Lieutenant General PGK Menon briefed on the role played by the Indian Army, as a partner in the development of Ladakh region, through infrastructure, welfare and human resource development activities.

Mr Bhatt interacted with the area commanders and troops deployed in Eastern Ladakh. He complimented them, for guarding the borders in the most inhospitable and difficult terrain, while maintaining a high



standard of morale and professionalism.

Mr Ajay Bhatt exhorted all ranks, to remain vigilant and maintain a high order of operational readiness.

Similarly, MoS Home Nityanand Rai will be visiting forward posts of ITBP at Lukung, today. To boost morale of Himveers of ITBP, he would spend a night with them. Yesterday, ITBP North West Frontier senior officials gave a presentation, on the conditions of frontline defence by ITBP and operational preparedness in eastern Ladakh.
