New Delhi: Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt will visit flood-affected areas in Uttarakhand today to take stock of the situation.  Mr Bhatt reviewed the flood situation in the state in a meeting with Director General Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Lt General Rajeev Choudhary in New Delhi yesterday. During the meeting, Mr Bhatt inquired about the damage to Pithoragarh-Tawaghat road.
Lt General Chaudhary apprised the Minister that along with BRO, National Disaster Relief Force and the entire team of local administration are engaged in relief and rescue operation to provide succour to the affected. The Minister of Defence directed DG, BRO  that in such difficult times, the BRO should make every effort to restore connectivity with all its might. The DG BRO assured him that the organisation  will provide all possible help to the state government in the border areas.
