More than one crore people register on e-shram portal so far

New Delhi: Registration of unorganized workers has picked pace across the country, and more than one crore people have registered on the e-shram portal. 

Over 1 crore 3 lakh 12 thousand workers have registered in the portal. 

Of these, around 43 percent of the beneficiaries are female and 57 percent are male. 

As per the latest data, Bihar, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal are at the forefront



of this initiative with the highest number of registrations. 

The largest number of workers registered are from agriculture and construction, given the sheer volume of these two sectors in employment generation in India. 

Around 48 percent of these registered workers are in the age group of 25 to 40 years, followed by around 21 percent registration in the age group of 40 to 50 years.
