Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth around Rs 2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a programme in the national capital on Friday evening, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.
The PMO said the disbursal marks a milestone in the implementation of the Centre’s employment-linked
incentive scheme aimed at job creation, formalisation of employment, enhanced employability and expansion of social security coverage.
By supporting both employees and employers, the scheme is playing a transformative role in expanding formal employment, strengthening social security coverage, and advancing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat'the PMO added.
