Modi govt on mission to develop J&K: Jitendra Singh

Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that Modi Government is on a mission to develop Jammu and Kashmir like never before and there is no question of religious or geographical discrimination.

Addressing a large gathering at Jammu on the eve of 125 th Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, Dr. Singh said that a common Kashmiri is rejoicing the abrogation of Article 370 and people of the state will enjoy all benefits and opportunities availed by rest of the country and Jammu and Kashmir will see an exemplary development in the next six months.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur listed the achievements of Modi Government and said that the Prime Minister has taken some path breaking decisions in



just three months of his second tenure.

He said, people of the state are no lesser than any other citizen of the country and abrogation of Article 370 is the best thing that has ever happened to Jammu and Kashmir. MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh said that leaders who didn’t even get 10 per cent votes had hijacked the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their personal gains and always wrongfully attributed Article 370 to inequality and discrimination.

He said, abrogation of Article 370 is a slap on their faces and people of the state will hugely benefit from this move. He said the detained leaders have been provided with all necessary facilities. He further said that Modi Government’s next mission is to take back PoK from Pakistan.
