Moderate to heavy rainfall lashes many parts of Delhi

New Delhi: Moderate to Heavy rainfall lashed many parts of the national capital since yesterday making the weather more pleasant. India Meteorological Department has said that thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain will continue to occur over and adjoining areas of the Delhi today.

The department has forecast generally cloudy sky with moderate rain today. The maximum temperature will hover around 29 degrees



Celsius.

Director General of India Meteorological Department,  M Mohapatra has said, the rainfall activity in the city is mainly because of the low-pressure area lying over Telangana and the western disturbance approaching towards the Northwest India.

Mr Mohapatra said that this weather system is impacting the entire northwest India and its impact will be felt more over Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand area.
