Endowments minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy on Friday inaugurated free mobile eye surgery bus units at Somasila to provide accessible eye care to people in remote villages of Nellore district.
The initiative, taken up under the guidance of government adviser Gundra
Satish Reddy with support from Helping Hearts, aims to deliver specialised eye care to economically weaker sections.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said free eye surgeries would be conducted for three days under the supervision of Sankara Nethralaya.
