MeT Department predicts heavy rain and snowfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall, snowfall, lightning, and hailstorms in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh as the active western disturbance is expected to move eastwards.  

Director General of Meteorology, Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said



parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as well as the Vidharbha region of Maharashtra are also expected to receive rainfall, hailstorms, and lightning. He added that as the intensity weakens, the weather is expected to be more moderate in parts of Northern and Central India.
