Manipur Lifts Ban on Internet & Mobile Data Services

In Manipur, the government has lifted a ban on internet and mobile data services from yesterday afternoon. The State government also declared that the schools and colleges of the State will be open from today.

The internet and mobile data services had been banned in the State from the 10th of this month after widespread student protests in three valley districts.  The schools and



colleges were closed from 7th of this month.

The order issued by the State Home Department and State Education Department separately said that the law and order situation in Manipur has improved and the government has decided to revoke the suspension of internet and mobile data services and also resume classes in schools and colleges.
