In a major security breach, a man entered the Parliament House by climbing a wall with the support of a tree, top sources told Times Now. He managed to reach the Garud Gate of the new Parliament building before he was caught by the security personnel. The incident took place around 6:30 AM.
Sources said that the intruder scaled the wall from the Rail Bhavan side and reached up to the Garud Gate of the new Parliament building.
The man was caught by the
security personnel present inside the Parliament. He is currently being interrogated, the source said.
The incident comes a day after the monsoon session of the Parliament concluded with almost daily disruptions and noisy protests by the Opposition in both Houses over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar. According to the Lok Sabha secretariat, the month-long session had 21 sittings with 37 hours and 7 minutes of effective business.
