Mumbai: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said the third wave has begun in the state and the impact of the wave can not be ascertained but the wave is expected to last till the end of this month. He was speaking to reporters after attending the high level review meeting with Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday. He said that the schools in the state have been closed for the safety of the students and parents should cooperate the government understanding the intention of the decision.
 
While expressing his displeasure about the violation of rules and guidelines by the section of



political leaders in the state, he appealed the politicians to follow the rules and political parties should cancel their programmes in this month. He said the strict restriction are imposed due to the surge in Covid cases and utmost priority is given to save the most valuable human life and people should understand this. 

He said the routine activities can resume but the survival in the pandemic is more important. He expressed confidence to expedite the expenditure under ECRP- II after the discussion with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
