Maharashtra government has further relaxed Covid-19 curbs in the state by allowing hotels and restaurants across the state to operate till 10 pm on all days from 15th August. Currently, hotels and restaurants are allowed to operate till 4 pm. The government said that customers must wear masks in the waiting area of the restaurants.
“According to the new standard operating procedure released by the state government, the malls have also been allowed permission to reopen and they will remain open till 10 pm on all days. However, all the management and staff working in the shopping mall and all the citizens entering must have taken two doses of covid preventive vaccine and should have completed 14 days af ter the second dose. Also, citizens entering the mall will have to show the vaccination
certificate along with the photo ID at the entrance.
Gymnasium, Yoga Center, Salon Spa with 50 per cent capacity are allowed to continue on all days till 10.00 pm.
Marriage parties can have a maximum of 100 persons or 50% of the intake capacity whichever is more. For outdoors, the cap will be 200 persons or 50% of the capacity, whichever is more. The private offices are allowed to remain open 24×7 but have been requested to implement staggered working hours for facilitating shifts to avoid crowding in workplaces and transport.
However, multiplexes in malls, single screens, drama theatres and places of worship will remain closed till further orders. The new orders will come into effect from 15th August.
