Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackerary yesterday reiterated the need to follow COVID appropriate behaviour as the pandemic is not over yet.

Talking about reopening of religious places, the Chief Minister said that a decision will be taken at a proper time, adding that the current focus is on building healthcare facilities, which are more important and need of the hour.

Mr. Thackeray said this while virtually inaugurating a slew of initiatives by the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation, including

Kopar flyover, oxygen plant at Rukminibai Hospital, upgraded infrastructure at Shastrinagar Hospital, Tejaswini bus service, city tour buses and a biodiversity garden at Ambivali.

Lauding the civic body’s dedicated efforts to continue with these developmental work despite the threat of COVID, Mr. Thackeray said the state government is committed to assist Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation as they try to develop new bridges, roads, hospitals and other necessary citizen amenities and infrastructure.
